Singapore again

Howdy folks!

After 2 very relaxing weeks it was time to go back to Singapore again. The pulse here is quite high, both at uni and especially when it comes to social events! I think I needed those two weeks back home actually.

Well, this is my last semester at uni (except for my thesis) and even though it will be nice to start working I'm gonna miss this place when I leave... the friends, the chicks(!), the culture...everything!

It looks as if I will be doing my thesis in Sweden so those of you who are there then we should meet up some time!

Some others have been lazy including me.

This past week I went back to OHIO for thanksgiving it was great to see my family, eat ton and chill with friends. Its weird that San Diego is my home now. Actually you all are not in your home town either; some of you are on the other side of the world.

Anyways its time for dinner maybe more later.

Hey Guys

Last week end I went to Dublin to visit Alan. He's now working for Accenture Dublin but he's actually working his ass off in Leeds but he's coming back to Dublin every second weekend or so. Then that's where we met.
So On saturday we made a tour by foot over Dublin City Centre : we passed by the Irish National Gallery, the Parliament, the Prime Minister House and then we went to Trinity College, the place where he used to study. It's a really unexpected place for me, the College is made of old buldings and more looks like a Museum that a College. The inside of the buildings are really dark and look like an old castle (I'll show you some pictures as soon as I come back to my parents' place). Then we went by the river Liffey till O'Connel Street which is Dublin major street and compared with the "Champs Elysees" in Paris (or Kunsports Avenyn in Gothenburg ;)). In the middle of this street is a thin metal cone of more than 100 meters high. It has been built a few years ago after a Column with a statue of Amiral Nelson at its top was destroyed (It had been bombed some years ago by the IRA because it was a symbol of the english domination over Ireland. The government then decided to bomb it properly to rebuild this metal cone but while bombing they did more damage than IRA because a lot of windows in the area were smashed during this destruction). Then we went to Dublin Castle, Dublinia (a Museum about Dublin history) and Christchurch (Dublin Cathedral).

But the most important was the Guiness Brewery tour ;). They made a museum out of the old brewery. The decoration made me feel like in a modern art museum with a lot of metal, projectors... The museum is about how guiness is brewed, you can smell at each stage of its process what it smells like.....and sometimes it smells like shit. Once we've visited the 4 floors of this "museum", we went to the top floor where is a skyview bar where you exchange your ticket for a pint of Guiness. By the way the view was really nice up there because of the setting sun and because we could see all of Dublin (there are really few high buildings there). In the end I think this museum is just a pretext to make you pay a pint of Guiness 13€ because they didn't even check our tickets.
On the evening we went to an Irish pub but as it was Halloween there were not a lot of people there (by the way, Halloween is an Irish tradition) but what's really nice is that pubs are non smoking.

On sunday we went in Dublin countryside in the monastery of Glendalough south from Dublin and what I can say is even though it hasn't rained during this weekend, Ireland is really wet. The fields were litterally leeking (but not drop by drop, it was a really big flow). Ireland is the country of sheep, you see them everywhere (they have something like 5 sheep per inhabitant).
Then we went to the seaside in Bray to eat fish & chips....

In fact Ireland is really like..... Engl.....no, I shouldn't say this, Alan (and every single Irish guy) would kill me. The thing is that the architecture is the same as in England due to the long history in common between England and Ireland but the countryside is much more green and fancy. Irish Pubs are cousy and Irish people seem to be open minded.

Hey ya'll!

As it happens, I'm in Singapore, and not in Thailand (luckily or unluckily, depending on how you think about it)... used to slack but exams are coming up so I'm currently working my ass of I'm afraid! It is a very special/strange/interesting country, so it's becoming quite an experience here... but hey, you guys already know what it's like ;-)

Well, I'm really interested to hear what all of you guys are up to too! Too bad I never had time to visit Chris in London, got clogged up. Schibli man??? You should get your ass out of that Fondue pot and write some!

guys... I was quite surprised about this message... well,.. not really .. a lot of things have started to happen that have made me to remember the old times in sweden (last year).
Now I´m living in the same city.. but is completely different life!!!! ....
master student life is quite different.. I should say.. last year.. we just to had to go working from 8 to 5.. and parties every weekend.. and besides we got paid!!!!
now.. have to go to school full time... study extra at home and the I don´t enjoy spending my money the same way I used to .. ajajja!
well.. anyways parties every weekend with international friends is the most alike...
guys... you are very welcome in gothenburg whenevery you want to come back.. now I´m sharing flat with Anastasia (from Mexico) ! and this week Thomas (from Hungary) is visiting her... do you remember Cyrille Moreaux (from France) .. well, he´s at the same master programme as myself, we take same clasess and even we are together in one team...Natascha Gaugl (Austria) is coming the last weekend of November to visit me as well.
so keep in touch all you guys... !!!

Hey guys!

As for me I'm on vacation for a week. I'm going to Dublin to visit Alan and (I hope) party this week end.
Apart from this I'm still a fucking lazy bastard ... i.e. student but I swear it's my final year....or not ;) I'm studying in Aix-en-Provence, 30km north from Marseilles (the bisggest city in the south of France next to the sea). I should be working my ass of but I prefer going to the beach on the week ends (30 min by car), playing badminton, and having parties...

I guess that's pretty much everything for the moment. I'll tell u more when back from Ireland.

PS. this blog is a cool idea jeremy. As for french women, they are really beautiful (a lot more than average for France) in Aix but really posh (kind of avenue style), anyway I don't surrender, perhaps I'll find some nice one

I am having a good time in San Diego.

Really there is too much to do and I am addicted to fish tacos.

Besides working I am doing some crazy activities like running a race through the mud with my co workers. The race was at a big military base north of San Diego. It was wierd being at the military base, but the run was a highlight of my time spent in California so far.
